CONGRATS TO ATHLETIC DIRECTOR JAMES LATHROP
James Lathrop, Athletic Director and Head Boys Water Polo coach, will be moving on to assist the Mens Water Polo team at Stanford University.
Lathrop spent 19 years as a teacher at Miramonte, as well as the Head Water Polo coach since 2003. Below is a list of accomplishments over his 19 years with the program:

BOYS LACROSSE 2022 DAL CHAMPIONS:
The #1 seeded Miramonte boys lacrosse took down the #3 seed Acalanes High School by a score of 15-7 to take home the DAL Championship. The victory caps off a regular season that saw the Matadors go undefeated in league games (8-0), and a final regular season record of 17-2.

2021 College Commitment Day
Miramonte Boys Tennis finshed up the regular season with a 17-4 overall record, while going 10-0 in league games. The undefeated league record earned Mats Tennis a 2022 Diablo Athletic League Title.

The Co-ed Relay Team of Kate Riley, Ania Keenan, Asher Patel and Roan Kazmierowski won the 4x800 meter at the Titan Twilight Invitational at Skyline HS, Oakland.
Their time of 8:59.88 set a new Miramonte record.
The Mats Boys Soccer team racked up one final 2021-2022 award after a year that saw 8 league wins and a Diablo Athletic League Valley Division Title.
The final award is a 2021-2022 NCS Scholastic Championship Team Award. This marks the 2nd time Miramonte has taken home a scholastic team award this year (2021-2022 Boys Water Polo).
Boys soccer finished the season with a 3.83 overall GPA .
Every sporting season, 49ers Cal-Hi Sports announces its Seasonal Athletes of the Year. Miramonte was well represented once again with James Frye taking home a Scholar Athlete Award. Its the Mats second Scholar Athlete award of the year (Lindsay Lucas, Girls Water Polo).
Frye, a leader both on the court and in the classroom, finished the quarter with a 4.0 GPA, while leading the Mats Boys Basketball team in points per game.

Mats Basketbal (4 Seed): 68
This ends a 24-6 season that saw a 2nd place finish in the DAL and a 3rd place finish in the Open Division Championships.
